Outstanding event horse, that could also excel in pure dressage or SJ. He has a huge, elastic but balanced canter, allowing him to be exceptional on the flat, jumping and galloping.
In the dressage, he is so well behaved, attentive and focused and usually scores in the 20's or low 30's - we are very disappointed if he's not in the top few after dressage!! He has established lateral work, counter canter, simple changes, flying changes and a lovely contact, snaffle mouth in all phases.
This year he has been a very reliable clear round show jumper, with an excellent technique, super bold and extremely scopey. Scope wise he would comfortably jump round BE intermediate and probably beyond.
XC he is fast, bold and straight, even if you miss your line or stride to a skinny, he is on it and he loves his job.
We had an unfortunate blip at Nunney when going well and about to be in the top 4 in the Novice, and although I took him schooling at two different venues the same week and he was fine, but then I bought a load of young horses in and both my eventers had to be turned away due to lack of space and time.
The plan had been to get him back, go schooling, do a few pre-novices, then move back up to Novice with the aim of being placed in a CIC* by the end of this season, but time is flying by and although he is back in work and going well, having no lorry and too many horses demanding my time mean it's been impossible to get him out and he is just being wasted.
As soon as I get a chance to get him back out, his price will go back up, so be quick before I change my mind!
He can be sharp at times, but generally is very easy in every way and to an experienced rider he is just fun!
